ART-STYLE Co. has recently celebrated the 20-year anniversary and for this event built the world’s largest wardrobe which entered the Guinness Book of World Records and Czech database records. The world’s largest cabinet or wardrobe was unveiled at the Tendence Fair in Letňany, Prague on the 10th of September, 2009, and was widely admired and visited by people from all over the Czech Republic.

Facts about the world’s largest wardrobe:

• It measures 606 cm high by 407 cm wide by 150 cm deep, from its greatest points
• The wardrobe can be disassembled and broken down into 10 separate pieces
• This is an entirely Czech production which involved 2 carpenters, 1 master carver, a toll painter and specialist in wood surface finishes
• The architect, designer and project manager was Jan Bilý, owner of Art-Style Company
• Most of the work carried out was by hand, not by machine
• The hand painted motifs on the doors represent the allegory of the four seasons
• The turnstiles and carvings were made by a master wood carver
• It took two and a half months to make and build
• The wood construction used 5.2 cubic meters of Spruce and Lyme wood

The world’s largest cabinet gained great popularity in the Czech Republic and appeared in many newspapers, periodicals and also got a time spot on a main news station, TV Nova. The world’s largest wardrobe is currently located and on display in the showroom at ART-STYLE Co., Nové Dvory, near Kutná Hora, Czech Republic.
